Sherriff Abdul-Hamid is the founder and chief executive officer of Poverty 360, a non-profit organization in Ghana with the mission to improve the lives of Africa’s economically oppressed people through diverse initiatives. Poverty 360 operates in Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, and its current projects focus on countering extremism and preventing forced and early child marriage through unique, community-tailored interventions. As part of Poverty 360’s holistic approach to strengthening livelihoods, Sheriff has led the organization’s previous initiatives including seedling planting in rural communities, providing solar lighting for children and families for schoolwork, and increasing profit margins for farmers by supporting improved agriculture technologies through hands-on training.
